HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — February 19, 2026 — National Black Estheticians’ Week (NBEW) returns February 22–28, 2026 for its seventh year, introducing its inaugural Advisory Board and signaling a pivotal evolution from awareness to structured leadership, education, and practitioner advancement.

Founded by Tiffany Medois, NBEW was created to honor the contributions of Black Estheticians while advancing standards of care, business excellence, and culturally competent skin health for practitioners serving higher Fitzpatrick skin types.

National Black Estheticians’ Week was originally launched within Katina Gilmore’s B.E.S.T. Association community and first publicly amplified by Jah Crystal, who now serves on the NBEW Advisory Board, reflecting its grassroots foundation and continued emphasis on relationship-building across the profession.

Since its inception, NBEW programming has reached tens of thousands of viewers through digital broadcasts and initiatives, reflecting sustained engagement within the professional esthetics industry.

“As we celebrate seven years of National Black Estheticians’ Week, the formation of our Advisory Board marks a powerful evolution from momentum to legacy,” said Katina Gilmore, Founder of B.E.S.T. Association. “This milestone reflects our commitment to building sustainable leadership, expanding national impact, and ensuring that Black Estheticians are seen, supported, and strategically positioned for generations to come.”

The 2026 Advisory Board includes Pamela Springer (Global Skin Solutions), Nichelle Foster Mosley (The Skin Barrier Academy | Whole Beauty Impact), Katina Gilmore (The Skin Health Coach; B.E.S.T. Association), Jah Crystal (NAMWEZI), Toshiana Baker (SpaWorx), Stacy Best-Nervis (Brownstone Esthetics), Erica Lindsey Fulcher (Roux Skin Care Studio), Dawn Ahearn (Precision Artistry Medspa).

“National Black Estheticians’ Week has always been more than a moment of recognition, it’s been a movement toward clinical equity, cultural competence, and practitioner empowerment,” said Nichelle Foster Mosley. “Joining the Advisory Board in Year 7 feels like stepping into legacy-building work that will reshape how melanin-rich skin is understood, honored, and served across this industry. This is infrastructure, not just inspiration.”

The 2026 experience includes educational content shared by the Advisory Board members, light challenges, and a suite of content at @NBEWTV on YouTube.

Looking ahead, NBEW will focus on expanding education partnerships and practitioner resources, and providing support for emerging professionals.
